The lecture itself should last between 30 to 45 minutes and then be followed by a round of Q&A.

Prof. Gil Troy is the chair of Birthright Israel's Education Committee and will speak about the program's latest areas of focus: Sustainability, Mental Health & Wellness, Ritual, the Ongoing Journey, and Gratitude. Prof. Troy is an author, historian, and Zionist activist. He co-authored his latest book: Never Alone: Prison, Politics and My People with Natan Sharansky.

Ritualizing Time and Space

Join us for this fun, and fully experiential, workshop that will equip you with tools to facilitate group bonding and community building through the introduction of ritual experiences – both Jewish and otherwise. An exploration of Shabbat as a "palace in time" within the context of a Birthright Israel trip will be a major focus of the session.
